Once you have a Blu-ray DVD player you will want to enable your account in Netflix for Blu-ray DVDs. Upgrading your Netflix account will cost an additional $4 per month.
First: click on the “Your Account” in the top right corner of Netflix. You will have to be logged in to update your preferences.
Second: click on the “Manage Blu-ray access” which will allow you to change your preferences.
Last: you will come to the following page below. This is the part that costs money! In order to watch Blu-ray DVDs it will cost you an additional $4 per month. They will pro-rate the current month. You must commit to this before you can select Blu-ray DVDs.
One last tip: any DVD in your queue before enabling Blu-ray is still standard or normal DVD. You will need to go through and delete the DVDs in your queue that you want to upgrade to Blu-ray. Also, not all titles are offered in Blu-ray, but most of the new releases and popular movies are available in high-definition.
